This yummy and easy cookie recipe is from Carleen Cook Kochanski of Independence, Missouri. I made these the other night and couldn’t believe how easy and good these are.
Preheat oven to 375º. Make at night.
2 egg whites
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
2/3 Cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Cup (6 oz.) chocolate chips
1 Cup finely chopped pecans (optional)
Add Cream of Tartar to egg whites; beat until stiff. Add sugar gradually, continuing to beat until whites are very stiff. Add the vanilla, stir in chips and nuts (?) carefully.
Cover cookie sheet(s) with foil. Drop mixture by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheet. Place in oven and close the door. Turn the oven off. DO NOT open door until morning. Makes 4-5 dozen.
